There are several large-scale and complex projects emerging within Bruce County that require coordinated, strategic County leadership and focused resources. Over the next two years, the new Community Development Office will focus on projects like Housing Supply in Bruce County, Growth of the Clean Energy and Medical Isotope Sectors, the Deep Geological Repository in South Bruce, and Pre-Development of the New Nuclear Reactor at Bruce Power. 

Celebrate Canadian Library Month and Ontario Public Library Week with Bruce County Public Library!

On Saturday, September 30, 2023, Bruce County will solemnly observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also known as Orange Shirt Day. This day serves as a significant opportunity for all Canadians to acknowledge, remember, and contemplate the tragic history and lasting impact of residential schools on Indigenous people and communities.

Grey Bruce Public Health identifies the home to be in Outbreak status. All precautions and safety measures are in place to support all residents and staff, as part of Bruce County’s Response Plan.

Please take notice that there will be a complete closure of the Jackson Street and Durham Street intersection in the Town of Walkerton on Tuesday, September 26, beginning at 7:00 AM.

Please take notice that the Bruce County Rail Trail between Sideroad 30 and Sideroad 35 in the Municipality of South Bruce will be closed for one day on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 for culvert replacement work. There will be no trail access in this location and no bypass will be placed during the closure.

Carrick Tract trail users are advised that the parking area and trails will be closed from Tuesday, September 26, 2023 to Friday, September 29, 2023 for tree removal and parking expansion.
