EarlyON Child and Family Centres

COVID-19 Update:

On July 30, the Premier announced a plan to reopen EarlyON Child and Family Centres this September. We are awaiting guidelines for reopening from the Ministry of Education. We do not yet have an anticipated date of reopening to share with you, we want to ensure that the health and well-being of the EarlyON community remains central to our re-opening plans. As we receive more information from our local Public Health and the Ministry of Education, we will continue to update you with any changes or new information as it becomes available. Please continue to reach out to your EarlyON Educator should you have any questions regarding child development, activities for your child, etc. Watch for continued Virtual Programming on Bruce County EarlyON Facebook pages.

Badge 1 - Water Works

Pour! Splash! Drizzle! Water play is one of Bruce County EarlyON’s favourite sensory activities for children. It is easy to set up, supervise, and adapt for a variety of age groups! Choose one of the following activities and learn about volume, opposites, cause and effect, flow and more!

Badge 2 - Expedition

Love scavenger hunts? We do to! Enhance your child’s observation and listening skills in a fun, relaxed and natural way. Choose one of the following activities and learn about becoming more aware of your surroundings. We’d love to see and hear about what your family finds!

Badge 3 - Mix and Stir

Follow a recipe with your child and notice how the muscles in the body are used to complete the tasks. Mixing and stirring requires the use of fine motor skills and co-ordination to get the job done! Mix and stir with your child and you will see that there is an added bonus; an item to play with or eat!

Badge 4 - Discover

What will you and your little scientist learn together? As children explore, they are naturally drawn to the discovery of the world around them. Nurture your child’s curiosity to explore and discover by trying out one of the following science activities!

Learning Together!

Our Registered Early Childhood Education team develops and implements quality programs based on the four foundations of the Ministry of Education’s “How Does Learning Happen?” document which offers a co-learning approach based on the interests of the children, family, educators, and the community.
