Road Construction and Maintenance

The Transportation and Environmental Services Department is responsible for construction and maintenance projects on roads, bridges and other structures under their jurisdiction throughout Bruce County.

Bruce County Transportation and Environmental Services are planning on rehabilitating Bruce Road 20.

The planned Rehabilitation section is:

  • Bruce Road 20 – Between Aurther Kincardine Road and Bruce Road 33

Bruce County Transportation and Environmental Services are planning on crack sealing on the following road segments and sections that are:

  • Bruce Road 17 – Between Lehnen Street, Port Elgin and Bruce Road 10, Tara
  • Bruce Road 23 – Between County Road 23 and Concession 15
  • Bruce Road 12 – Between Highway 9 and Bruce Road 6
  • Bruce Road 12 - Bruce Road 6 To Huron Bruce Road

Bruce County Transportation and Environmental Services are planning on replacing 20 culverts within Bruce County in 2026.The planned culvert replacements are:

  • West Road Culvert #40086 – Between Red Bay Road and Howdenvale Road
  • Bruce Road 13 Culvert #40208 – Between Spry Lake Road and Quarry Road
  • Bruce Road 13 Culvert # 40063 – Between Spry Lake Road and Quarry Road
  • Bruce Road 13 Culvert # 40054 – Between Silver Lake Road and Maryville Road
  • Bruce Road 13 Culvert #40038 - Between Elm Street and Gosford Street
  • Bruce Road 10 Culvert #20387 – intersection of Bruce Road 10 and Concession 8
  • Bruce Road 10 Culvert #20028 – Between Concession 6 Elderslie and Concession 8 Elderslie

  • Bruce Road 9 – Between Ferndale Road and Cemetery Road
  • Bruce Road 6 – Between Highway 21 and Sideroad 20 North

Bruce County Transportation and Environmental Services are planning on rehabilitating three asphalt road sections apart of the Miscellaneous Asphalt Maintenance Program within Bruce County in 2026. The three sections are:

  • Bruce Road 3 – West of Schenks Bridge – Between Concession Road 14 and Brant Elderslie Road (70m section)
  • Bruce Road 4 – Between Concession 10 And Concession 12 (430m section)
  • Bruce Road 5 – Between Park Road and Grey Bruce Line (70m section)
