• Council approved a by-law to expand and increase the Bruce County Scholarships awards. By-law

• Council received communications from the Minister of Long Term Care on the Letter of Response re: Occupancy Protection. Communication

Corporate Services Committee

• Committee accepted and received the 2022 Audit Report as presented by BDO & Company LLP and approved the 2022 Audited Consolidated Financial Statements. Report
• Committee received the Reserves and Reserve Fund Analysis 2022 Actual and 2023 Projection report and approved that the 2023 budget be amended to reflect the transfer of the 2022 Krug Reserve balance plus interest earned in 2023 to BMO Trust Company as per the January 13, 2023 court order. Report
• Committee approved that Asset Management Support & Plan Development Services be single sourced to PSD Citywide due to the continued use of PSD Citywide software and services for multiple aspects of the Asset Management Development process and that the Director of Corporate Services and Deputy Treasurer be authorized to sign the contract covering the period up to July 2025. Report
• Committee approved the 2024 Budget and Annual Business Plan Timetable and that October 12 and November 2 be reserved to receive the 2024 Annual Business Plans and Operational and Capital Budgets. Report

Bruce County Housing Corporation

• Committee received the Q1 2023 Bruce County Housing Corporation Arrears Report. Report

Museum Committee

• Committee received the May 2023 Museum Committee Report. Report

Paramedic Services Committee

• Committee approved the purchase of five Autopulse Automated CPR Machines, to be paid for using COVID funding if authorized and any unfunded amount be paid by utilizing Paramedic Services Reserves at a total cost of approximately $88,476.35 +HST. Committee also approved the purchase an additional six Autopulse Automated CPR Machines at a cost of approximately $98,290.42 +HST, to be paid from the Paramedic Services Reserves. Committee further approved that the Autopulse automated CPR machines be single sourced to Zoll Medical Canada due to the current defibrillator’s being Zoll. The Zoll AutoPulse A-CPR board works wirelessly with the County's existing monitors and the Zoll AutoPulse also utilizes what is called “ShockSync” Technology. These technologies work together to wirelessly calculate when the heart is best able to respond to paramedic treatments such as defibrillation of the heart at the least measured impedance, “Optimal Time”.
