Bruce County Rail Trail Corridor and Surface Improvements in Saugeen Shores

The Bruce County Rail Trail will be undergoing corridor and surface improvements from June 12 to June 30, 2023, between Bruce Road 40 and Mill Creek Trestle Bridge in Port Elgin (west of Sideroad 13/14). Work will include corridor widening and the application of aggregate material to improve trail accessibility. Trail access may be impeded, and temporary closures may be required at times.

The Bruce County Rail Trail is a multi-use trail that is approximately 80km long and extends from Port Elgin to the Huron-Bruce Road and from Port Elgin to Bruce Nuclear Power. The rail trail is a significant trail artery that connects several community trails through the towns of Port Elgin, Kincardine, Paisley, Walkerton and Mildmay.
