Please take notice that the Bruce County Administration Centre in Walkerton, the Lakeshore Hub in Port Elgin, the Peninsula Hub in Wiarton, and the Penetangore Hub in Kincardine will be closed from Saturday, November 11 to Monday, November 13 (Remembrance Day Long Weekend). Virtual customer service and in-person service will be available again on Tuesday, November 14 at 8:30 AM. 

At the Thursday, November 2, 2023 Corporate Services Committee Meeting, Bruce County Council approved the 2024 Capital and Operating Budget, which will see final by-law adoption later this year.

Bruce County is pleased to announce the appointment of Sean Morphy as the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, effective December 16, 2023.

Please take notice that there will be temporary daytime closures on the Paisley Bridge from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM from November 6 to November 10, 2023, to facilitate final restoration work. The temporary bridge and detour will be available for use during the daily road closures. There may also be temporary lane closures from November 13 to November 17, 2023 to complete minor works while the bridge will be open to vehicular and pedestrian use.

The Bruce County Rail Trail will be closed between Sideroad 40 and Sideroad 45 in South Bruce from Monday, November 6, 2023 to Thursday, November 9, 2023 for the development of a parking area within the trail corridor adjacent to Sideroad 40. This new parking area will provide staging for vehicles and trailers at the south end of the Bruce County Rail Trail. 

Please take notice that the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre will be closed on Sunday, November 5, 2023 for a private function.

Bruce County Public Library will host a virtual workshop on fraud protection for Seniors. This event will take place on Tuesday, November 7 at 2:00 PM. You have the option to attend online from your home or watch the presentation in person from the Port Elgin and Chesley Branches.

Bruce County and the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie are excited to invite the public to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, November 3 at 2:00 PM to celebrate the grand opening of the new Paisley Bridge. A short ceremony will take place on the north side of the Paisley Bridge, followed by a procession across the bridge.
